26 Weeks Baby #2

February 21, 2016
Due to a weekend in Galena, IL with college friends and coming home to a sick toddler (all week long), week 25 got lost in the mix and a picture was never taken.

How far along? currently 26 weeks
Stretch marks?  They're growing.  I'm trying not to notice or dwell on it.
Sleep: C had a cold/flu all week so sleep was literally nonexistent.  There were quite a few nights where I can count on one hand (really I only need about 3 fingers) how many hours of sleep I got. And not consecutive hours.  Like 15 minutes here, 20 minutes there.
Exercise: BarreAmped 2x this past week, Knocked Up Fitness Prenatal Sculpt 4x a week, and walked the dogs a few miles by the end of the week when it was 50 degrees.
I felt like a workout rockstar this week!  Then I remembered that I used to walk 5 miles A DAY when pregnant with Charlee AND do at least 30 minute workout every day and prenatal yoga once a week.
Best moment this week (or the past few weeks): Last weekend we were able to get away for a whole weekend with our Marquette friends in Galena, IL.  It was so much fun to hang out with everyone for a few days instead of a few hours (and even the "few hours" doesn't happen often because some are in Madison, others Milwaukee, and still more in Illinois.  And with 3 babies on the way in May/June, our get togethers will be harder to coordinate).
Miss Anything? the top of my belly not burning from being so stretched out!
Movement: after a few days at the beginning of the week of decreased movement, I was very happy when she started kicking and punching a lot again (even if it was in the middle of the night).
Food cravings: tater tots sounded really good earlier, not so much right now
Anything making you queasy or sick: the nausea was in full force last weekend.  It comes and goes in waves now.
Have you started to show yet: I seriously wonder what people think when I waddle into BarreAmped on Thursdays and Saturdays.  I'm definitely big.  (And there's one woman there who is due at the end of July and looks how I wished I did not pregnant (as in she has a flat stomach and is tiny and skinny)).
Gender: little sister!
Labor Signs: none
Symptoms: back pain, nerve separation, nausea
Belly Button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time: This past week has been exhausting.  It was been tough being pregnant and taking care of a sick toddler who hasn't been sleeping.  I have definitely lost my cool on more than one occasion and I'm not proud of it.
It's been a stressful week between no sleep and a lazy baby (read: little to no fetal movement) at the beginning of the week.  Charlee and I ended up at the OB late Tuesday to get a quick ultrasound just to make sure that she was still moving around.  Baby sister has since made up for it by keeping me up the past few nights.

Dear baby sister,

It still seems so surreal that we have mere months left to meet you.  The first trimester dragged on and this second one has flown by.  I feel like just yesterday we were celebrating Charlee's birthday and told grandparents about you.

I am slowly piecing together your nursery and redoing the artwork from what Charlee had.  No more yellow!  It makes me feel better that it will be your own room and not just Charlee's old room.  We're trying to get everything in order for you: selling big baby items that we won't be able to use again because we don't have the room (snugga puppy swing) and buying smaller items or realizing we didn't like something from Charlee and getting different (baby carrier).  There are also a lot of bins of clothing to go through eventually and figure out what we can reuse again.

Charlee went through her headbands and decided which ones were for "baby sister" and we put them in your room.  She is going to be such a good big sister to you.  She's already so excited and said you could sleep in her "cribby" since she's a big girl and doesn't need it.

We love you so much, baby girl!
Love,
mommy
