24 Weeks Baby #2

February 7, 2016

How far along? 24 weeks
Stretch marks?  very much so no matter how much Zoe Organics Belly Butter I slather on
Sleep: beginning to become non-existent
Exercise: BarreAmped 1-2x a week, Knocked Up Fitness Prenatal Sculpt 3-4x a week, trying to walk more (which is hard with the bitter cold, wind, snow, ice)
Best moment this week (or the past few weeks): Seeing baby sister at our appointment on Feb 8th and finding out that the hemorrhage is officially gone!
Miss Anything? not being out of breath walking across the room, not being nauseous
Movement: Andrew made mussels and frites on Sunday night, either baby sister loved them or hated them because she was so active!  My belly was moving all night with big kicks.
Food cravings: nothing, the nausea has come back in full force, so food is not my friend
Anything making you queasy or sick: everything
Have you started to show yet:  big belly (as Charlee would say "Mommy so BIG!"
Gender: little sister!
Labor Signs: none
Symptoms: migraines, nausea, back pain, nerve separation pain
Belly Button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time: happy and thrilled to be back to regular OB visits and not to have more ultrasounds to monitor my placenta and hemorrhage (although it has been super fun seeing baby sister more).  Still feeling guilty about not doing as many activities with Charlee as I used to.  Most of our big activities revolve around food and baking lately (but hey, I'm teaching her math, right?)  I'm so thankful that she can go to the Seventeenth Radish for a few hours a week to play with friends and learn.  She has been counting to 10 in Spanish for the past week now!  I wish I could say it was because of me, but I know it's from her Spanish class.

Dear baby sister,

I cannot even begin to tell you how excited we are getting to meet you!  It's hard to believe that we only have about 3.5 months until you decide to grace us with your presence.  It will definitely be a whirlwind.  And no, you do not have a name yet and will not until you are born.

Your big sister still is convinced that you are a boy, no matter how many times we tell her (and it's usually met with pouts and an angry face).  Sorry, she'll come around eventually.

Even though we are so excited for you, it is still so surreal to me. After everything that has happened over the past year, I still can't believe that we will be bringing you home in May and that our little family of three will soon be four.  We are beyond blessed and love you more that you will ever know.

Love,
mommy

As big as I think I am now, I am pretty much the same size I was with Charlee, maybe smaller.
And this is what happens
