Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving back in Geneva like we usually do.  This time Mimi and Poppi came for Turkey Day instead of Christmas.

Charlee loves her thumb, so this is a typical picture of her now.

The girls came down to Geneva with Glamma after Charlee's birthday party.  So these three were thrilled to see each other again.
 Especially these two.

Hey Mimi, don't touch my toys.  But did you see my pretty sweater?

We met our friend John at the Dupage Children's Museum!  In typical toddler fashion, they could have cared less about each other and played by themselves.

This was the closet they got to playing with each other, just sitting in the general vicinity of each other.
 Checking everything out with Daddy.
Playing with the circuits and lights with John and his mommy, Liz.
When we got back to Madison, we played in the snow.  The face says it all.

hOWLween 2014

Happy Halloween!!

We've had a pretty busy month.  So many Halloween parties to attend and friends to play with.

After much deliberation, I decided to make Charlee's costume.  At first, I wasn't even going to deal with anything because I knew that we wouldn't go trick-or-treating, but Pinterest got the better of me.  I decided on a cute little owl costume.  Now it was a little ambitious for me, but I was determined.

This photo best sums up my sentiments to starting a big sewing project.
I used the tutorial on Cutesy Crafts to make her costume.

For her hat, I googled a couple of different hats/patterns, then ended up making my own. (Hopefully I can get the ball rolling and post a tutorial for it.)

Halloween week started off with costume day at music class with our friends!
We started taking Kindermusik classes when Charlee was just 3 months old.  She would fall asleep before class even ended.  It's so fun to see all of the things she can do now!

And we're done

Wednesday we went to Stroller Strides!
Thursday we went to the Madison Moms' Blog party with a couple of little friends.  Charlee loved crawling all over the place.

No smiles from this very serious baby owl.

On Friday, we went to the Madison Children's Museum with our play group.  All of these babies met when they were itty bitty!  It's hard to believe that everyone will be turning one in the next few months!

These little friends had tons of fun playing in paper.

Charlee and Jameson were obsessed with this canoe.

I mean, stop it right now.  These two are just too cute!

Someone found a tunnel to go through to get away from Mom.

And did a little washing.  Now if only I could get her to do her own laundry...

And then we found the stairs.

No smiles from this baby owl this year.

We didn't go trick-or-treating this year because it was just too darn cold!  But we had a pretty fun hOWLoween! :)
