23 Weeks Baby #2

January 31, 2016

How far along? 23 weeks
Stretch marks?  yep, yep, yep
Sleep: typical pregnancy insomnia at night and exhausted during the day
Exercise: BarreAmped 1-2x a week, Knocked Up Fitness Prenatal Sculpt 3-4x a week, trying to walk more
Best moment this week (or the past few weeks): Charlee loves to read the I'm a Big Sister book and requests to read it at least 5x a day.  She's even memorized parts of the book.  It's adorable
Miss Anything? not being out of breath walking across the room
Movement: lots of big kicks and rolls at night.  Little hiccups early morning.  Little sister is very active at night and usually wakes up whenever I do in the middle of the night or in the morning.  She also likes to kick and punch around lunch time.
Food cravings: nothing
Anything making you queasy or sick: nausea is slowly subsiding, hopefully
Have you started to show yet:  big belly
Gender: little sister!
Labor Signs: none
Symptoms: headaches, nausea, fatigue, back pain, sciatica
Belly Button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time: Charlee has been hilarious this past week and talking up a storm.  She's so fun to be around (most of the time).

Dear little sister,

I can't believe that you will be here in 17 weeks (or less, but please don't be more).  I also can't believe how big you are getting!  You kick all the time and we can feel them (and see them!) from the outside, which we couldn't do with your big sister for another few weeks since I had an anterior placenta.
Speaking of your big sister, Charlee is getting more and more excited about you.  She points to my belly and says "baby" and tells people she is going to be a big sister.  She also says she's going to feed you bottles and change your diapers, but we'll see if that really happens.
Your daddy and I are pretty excited to see you again next week at our 24 week appointment (not thrilled to NEED another ultrasound, but excited to see how you have changed).  It will be interesting to see how big you have gotten or if your facial features have changed much.  But it's also hard to believe that we only have 17 weeks left until we reach 40 weeks!

Love you so very much, sweet girl.

Love,
mommy
