MILESTONES:
WALKING!! July 10, 2017
Words: mama, dada, Dan Dan (Daniel), that

Dear Emme,

You are such a big girl now! You are growing so fast and desperately want to be big like Charlee.

You were very hesitant about walking, and now you're running! You love to walk everywhere and aren't very thrilled with being contained. However you love to ride in the wagon.

The months are flying by now. I can't believe how much you have grown in the past year. I look back at your baby pictures and I hardly remember when you were that tiny without the mop of blonde curls, running through the house.

I wish I could say that you are a social little butterfly who loves playing with others, but you are attached to me all the time. The separation anxiety runs strong in you, little one. You give the best hugs and snuggles, but definitely prefer mommy to anyone else. You do love to play with Charlee and do whatever she is doing, but you both know how to push each others' buttons and fight over toys.

You love Daniel Tiger! You sit in the chair in Charlee's room and "read" your Daniel books. You even try to say "Daniel" which comes out as "Dan Dan."

Mealtime still isn't one of your favorites, but you do love to snack. You are always in the pantry digging out something to eat (usually carbs). When lunch or dinner comes around, you are quite the picky eater. It's a challenge to get you to eat much, especially at dinner. However, we are trying to wean which you are not thrilled about. If it were up to you, I think you would nurse for months to come. Maybe this next month you will start eating more.

You love to color! We go into the playroom and you immediately go for the Do-a-Dot markers will sit and paint (and by paint, I mean slamming the dabbers on the paper). You have also started to try to match the color tops to the correct dabber. You can also scribble with markers or crayons.

I can't wait to see how you will grow and change next month. It has been so much fun seeing your personality come through (which is very headstrong and determined. You know what you want and don't like it when someone tells you "no").

I love you so very much,

Mommy
