Road Trip

So this post is about 2 weeks late.  I'll never know how people blog with a baby!  This just always gets pushed down to the bottom of my list, no matter how much I want to keep up with it!

Anyway, on March 1st we traveled up to La Crosse, WI to go to Chris and Kelly's wedding shower.  We have driven back to our parents' houses in IL, but this was Charlee's first hotel road trip.  The last time she was in La Crosse was for our baby shower when I was 30 weeks pregnancy :)

Oh my goodness, traveling with a baby is so much work.  I thought traveling with two dogs was rough, but this is a whole other level!
We started out early to drop the big sisters off at doggie daycare for the weekend and then off we went.

Charlee was a pretty good in the car, only about 20 minutes of crying and the rest spent looking out the window or sleeping.

We spent a lot of time snuggling, either with Mommy or Daddy.  Seeing new people is really exhausting!

Uncle Chris and Aunt Kelly are so silly in their "wedding attire!"

We headed to the hotel after the shower to drop off our carload of gear.  This is what traveling with a baby looks like now!  At least we got to use the hotel pack 'n' play.

We went out to an early dinner (since we need to stick to our bedtime to avoid meltdowns!)  Everyone was so impressed at how good Charlee was (and how big she was!  They couldn't believe that she was only 3 months!!)

No restaurant visit is complete with pictures of the yummy food :)  Charlee will be an adventurous eater!

 Makeshift bath time with Daddy!
Getting ready for bed :)

"Sleeping" with Charlee in the hotel room with us only solidifies why she is in her own room at home.  That little girl is such a loud sleeper!

And of course, a food shot!  Yummy crepes

Our trip home was very uneventful and Charlee slept the whole time.  We then ran some errands and stopped at the coffee shop across from doggie daycare while we waiting to pick up the big sisters :)
