36 weeks baby #2

 May 1, 2016

How far along? 36 weeks, 4ish weeks to go
Stretch marks? they're still growing.  I now have one right over my belly button
Sleep: still waking up every hour or so to either flip over or listen to Charlee cough and wonder if she will get up (it's cold season in our house again)
Exercise: BarreAmped just once this week, trying to walk at least 1-2 miles a day, but it's getting tough with my pelvic pain and now ab separation
Best moment this week (or the past few weeks): Charlee is getting so excited about baby sister!  She asks every day if she is coming out and then will say "no not today!"  Soon big sister, soon.
Movement: baby sister is always moving, especially at night.
Food cravings: not much
Anything making you queasy or sick:not really
Have you started to show yet: the belly keeps getting bigger
Gender: baby sister!
Labor Signs:more Braxton Hicks contractions at night
Symptoms: pelvic pain, ab separation pain (as in can't bend over or pick anything up), insomnia, overemotional
Belly Button in or out? in-ish
Wedding rings on or off? off
Happy or Moody most of the time: This week has been my freak-out week.  Now that we're less than a month out from the due date, reality is starting to set in that we will be starting over again with a newborn and I'm just not quite ready to do it all over again with a toddler this time. Not that I love her any less, but just not sure how I'm going to handle having two.

Dear baby sister,

I have been feeling horribly guilty lately.  For the past two years, we have wanted you.  We wanted to give Charlee a sibling and to grow our family.  But now that the time has actually come to meet you, I'm nervous and freaking out.  I don't know how I'm going to handle the newborn stage again with a toddler running around.  Not to mention that we still have nothing ready for you.  You at least have a crib to sleep in, but I still have a lot to wash and set up.

Your big sister is so excited to meet you.  Every day she asks if you are coming.  I have to tell her "no not today!" You still need some more time to grow and develop.  As excited as she is for you to come, she won't let you drink her chocolate milk.  That's for big girls.  And no pickles or strawberries for baby sister (as she told the OB this week).

It's hard to believe that we only have a few short weeks left until we are a family of 4. Daddy will be surrounded by even more girls.

Love you,
mommy
